SPIN DOCTOR – Caring for Bikes, Strengthening Bonds
Spin Doctor is the name given to our bike repair program in Chalabre, run by the CCC-Biclorama association, “the little bike house.” But behind this amusing name lies a serious and deeply humane approach: repairing, yes, but also learning, sharing, and helping each other. Because repairing your bike also means taking care of your independence, your health, and the environment.
Spin Doctor thus has a dual objective:
- To offer everyone easy access to bike repair and maintenance, regardless of their skill level or means;
- To create a space for exchange, sharing expertise, and social connection around an everyday object that has become a symbol of ecology, freedom, and conviviality.
The project currently takes two complementary forms: a weekly repair stand at the market and a more in-depth, educational participatory workshop.
